Monday Morning Ramble - Channels Marsh
Monday Morning Ramble - Channels Marsh
April 3, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
Get your week off to a great start by spending time outside.
The Monday Morning Nature Walk invites you to join us for a stroll around the trails. We will usually meet at Rogers and walk the trails here, but on occasion we may head somewhere else, expanding our horizons.
We anticipate these walks to typically last about an hour and a half, but if we go somewhere else, you can expect it to last longer - possibly even a full day!
Bring your binoculars, your hand lenses, and a water bottle. Dress for the weather.

City Nature Challenge
City Nature Challenge
April 28, 2023 - May 1, 2023 @
Do you iNat?
iNaturalist is an app (desktop, tablet or phone) that not only helps people learn what is living near them by helping identify plants and animals, but also helps scientists who need to collect data from locations around the world.
Once a year, iNaturalist holds the ultimate bioblitz, known as the City Nature Challenge. People from all around the world form groups that participate to see which city/locale can tally the greatest number of species and/or observations.
This is Rogers Center's first year participating in CNC, and we hope you will join us. You can go out all four days, or just one afternoon - whatever fits your schedule.
[There may be prizes for the greatest number of species and the greatest number of observations!]
For more information, or to join us, contact Ellen at ellen@friendsofrogers.org or 607-674-4733.
