Join Friends of Rogers on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at 10 am for a program on Monarch rearing and tagging. Monarch Butterflies are iconic insects of summer. But with climate change and habitat loss they are in danger of extinction. Nationwide, there are citizen science efforts to track monarch butterflies and monitor populations. The best part about these efforts is that anyone can do them! Join biologist Professor Eric H. Diefenbacher (SUNY Morrisville) as he gives a tutorial on best practices in rearing and tagging monarch butterflies and the citizen science efforts behind saving this species. This program is Free and brought to you by the Otis Thompson Foundation. Maximum attendance is 15 people. Participants can register by emailing info@friendsofrogers.org or call 607-674-4733. Once we respond, your spot is confirmed.
