Friends of Rogers (FOR) is a nonprofit organization composed of dedicated supporters of the Rogers Environmental Education Center. Rogers Center was a fully funded, state-operated education center from the late 1960s to 2010. Friends of Rogers has been in charge of running the educational programing, camps and events since 2011 with financial support of members, foundations, donations and volunteers.

The Visitor Center is now OPEN Wednesdays through Saturdays 10 am-4 pm, and Sundays 12-4 pm. Restrooms are open 7 am -7 pm daily and the trails are open daily dawn to dusk.

Trails

Go for a walk

Rogers Center’s trails are open daily from dawn to dusk. Trail maps are located in the Visitor Center, at trailhead kiosks, and are downloadable from the link below. We have more than six miles of trails winding through 600 acres for you to hike, snowshoe or ski.

Bird Cabin

2023: The Bird Cabin is currently under construction and closed to the public.

Bear right to continue on NY-92 E to Cazenovia

In Cazenovia, turn left onto NY-20 E and take the first right onto NY-13 S

Follow NY-13 S to New Woodstock, turn left onto NY-80 E

Stay on NY-80 E, Rogers Center will be on the left 3 miles after Smyrna

Binghamton

Take NY-12 N to North Norwich and make a slight left onto County Rd 23

Continue on County Rd 23 until it ends and then turn left onto NY-80 W

Rogers Center will be on the left, less than 1/2 mile after turning

Buffalo

Take I-90 E to I-690 E in Syracuse

Take the exit from I-690 E for I-81 S in Syracuse

Follow I-81 S to exit 14 for NY-80 E in Tully

Continue on NY-80 E, Rogers Center will be on the left 3 miles after Smyrna

Albany

Follow I-90 W to I-88 W

Take exit 13 from I-88 W for NY-205 N in Oneonta

Stay on NY-20 5N to NY-23 W

In Morris, continue on to County Rd 13

In New Berlin, stay straight onto NY-80 W

Follow NY-80 W through Sherburne

Rogers Center will be on the right 1 mile after downtown Sherburne
