While the pheasant cages and hatchery are long gone, many of the historic buildings and structures remain at Rogers Center, including the Trout Ponds and the Bird Cabin.

The Visitor Center

The Visitor Center houses our education and exhibit spaces, offices and gift shop. Open Wednesday-Saturday, 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM; Sunday Noon to 4:00 PM. Monday & Tuesday by appointment.

The Trout Ponds

A traditional activity at Rogers Center is feeding the fish at the trout ponds. Brook, rainbow and brown trout eagerly swirl to accept the fish food you offer. Fish food is available at feeders and gift shop.

The Outdoor Classroom

Our six-sided outdoor classroom often serves as basecamp for our summer camp, a covered education space on rainy days, and a band shelter for summer concerts.

Originally housed at the Chenango County Historic Society, this historic sugarhouse is the newest addition to Rogers Center and its nascent Maple Magic programs. Opening 2025.

The Sugar Shack

The Bird Cabin

Newly renovated in 2023, the Bird Cabin is home to the George Lesser Bird Collection and is also used for meeting and classroom space.

Picnic Facilities

A covered picnic pavilion adds shelter to your family outing. Additional tables and grills are located throughout the property, all available on a first-come-first-served basis. We ask picnickers to honor the pack-it-in-pack-it-out philosophy.

Public Restrooms

Just across the bridge from the parking lot are the outdoor public restrooms, which are open daily until dark. Additional restrooms are available at the Visitor Center during hours of operation.
