Rogers Taps into Your Learners’ Curiosity
-
Science Outings at Rogers Center
Science leaps off the textbook and into your students’ hands at Rogers Center as we guide their discovery of the natural world.
Field Trips to Rogers Center are available year round, although most schools visit September-November, and April-June.
Our goal at Rogers Center is to help you meet New York’s Learning Standards by providing you and your learners with programs that focus on the Science, Engineering, Math and Literacy Practices.
Using Nature and the outdoors as our classroom, our lessons are cross-curricular: even though we may be focusing on biology or ecology, our programs also help meet the standards for physics, engineering, math and literacy.

Travelling Naturalist
When you can’t come to us, we can come to you. Whether it’s in your classroom or out on your school’s grounds, we can help open your learners’ eyes to the natural world around them.
We offer four in-school programs, and can also lead our popular Discover Nature Hike on your campus. This is a wonderful opportunity for learners to discover that nature can be found anywhere - even in the “urban jungle.”
If there is a program you’d like us to lead, but you don’t see it offered, we can work with you to develop a session that meets the needs of you and your learners.
The natural world belongs to everyone, and it is our goal to introduce as many people as possible to its wonders.
