Magic Comes to Rogers Center

This summer, a few lucky people received an invitation to attend Rogers Magical Woodland Camp.

Upon arrival on day one, tickets were turned in to our Ticket Troll and soon everyone was sorted into one of our four houses.

After a snack was eaten and wands were made, these fortunate few went on to a week full of magical adventure.

Campers discovered that there are dragons at Rogers, as evidenced by the scales found in various locations along the river and trails. The most coveted scales are those of the River Runner, a rare aquatic dragon that has apparently taken up residence in the Chenango River.

Soon everyone learned to be wary of the Trail Gnomes, who live down holes among the many exposed tree roots along our trails - they are notorious for reaching up and tripping unwary hikers.

Fairy houses were built, the Whomping Willow was battled, and potions were created. Classes in Herbology, Care of Magical Creatures, and even a bit of learning how to read the weather added to the educational value of the week.

Is magic here to stay at Rogers? Oh, we think so!
